I can login to the /iredadmin page as postmaster (Admin) of my domains. Then "Domains & Accounts" -> "Edit Account Profile" resulting in text reading "internal server error".

/var/log/apache2/error.log gives me that output at that time:

I rarely use the Admin GUI. But I do apt-get update with updating the OS (security updates first, then package updates) regularily. IMHO this has broken iRedMail Admin Page.

Webmail is still working fine, all the services do work, too.

Pls give advise, what can be done to solve it - and - how to fix it permanently in future.

Walter

Hi,

apparently since recently there is some hidden password policy being enforced (or to better express it being forced upon me)

We do not wish to be FORCED by other people to have a certain password policy (having a generic password policy that is widely known as the standard by itself is a weakness anyways as any hacker will now know what pattern to search for but this is not the topic of my post.). We wish to set our own policy yet iredadmin does not let me do this .

How can the password policy that is being forced upon us against our wishes be changed ?

I really find this a every bad move and i wish you would give us the freedom of setting policies who WE wish. Not how others thin it should be. And at least give us an easy interface to change such default.

Hope someone has a solution to change this policy default.

thanks,
kind regards,

Something of a minor issue, but we have a user in one of the ~320 domains we manage who has an ampersand in the user portion of his email address.  Naturally, when attempting to manage this user in the control panel we get:

not found

Example URL:

https://webmail.*****.net/iredadmin/profile/user/general/gr&weaver@******.com

The ampersand appears to be RFC compliant in this portion of an email address.  Is there an easy workaround for users like this?

OpenAm integration

I am running iRedMail-0.8.7 with iRedAdmin-Pro-LDAP-2.1.2 on ubuntu server 14.04.

I need to integrate it with OpenAm 11.0.0.

I haven't found any topic about it on the forum.
Is there some documentation or any kind of support you can provide for it ?

Thanks in advance
F. Michel

This is a bug report rather than a request for help: In the default installation of IRedAdmin-Pro on FreeBSD, root fails to run the cleanup_amavisd_db.py script, returning a "python: not found" error.

This is because FreeBSD crontabs expect the full path to be given in the cron job (unless the path is in root's ENV settings, which it is not by default). Editing the cron job like this allows the job to run as expected:

# iRedMail: Cleanup Amavisd database

If i try to send the same mail from Roundcube then works fine, then the problem is Thunderbird but why only with that host, and why sometimes i get blacklisted and others greylisted...
I've tried in two different computers with two different OS, and i've tried to whitelist the IP but don't works.

Someone knows how i can fix this?

EDIT: I forgot to say that i've checked Thunderbird SMTP config and is fine, Authentication is enabled.
EDIT2: I've seen that only fails with that host, and fails even with local hosts (in same server). I've tried from other host and works all fine.
EDIT3: After a lot of tests i've seen that the problem is from that host to all of my other hosts (don't care if are local or remote, but with other like gmail works). I don't understand why fails the Helo if are the same for Gmail, local and remote servers...

We've just noted that one of the top senders as noted in the iRedAdmin control panel 'Dashboard' does not have any emails noted when we click on the user's email address.  Received messages appear to display as normal, and the Quarantine tab is empty.

This user is sending 3,000 - 5,000 emails per day.  After some investigation I discovered that these appear to be legitimate, automated emails from the address we host, going to the user's GMail account.  I also found that the header in these automated emails appears to have a malformed header (missing date line I believe):

----
amavis[4737]: (04737-04) Passed BAD-HEADER-7 {RelayedOutbound}, MYUSERS LOCAL [1.2.3.4]:54935 [1.2.3.4] <someuser@somedomain.com> -> <some.user@gmail.com>, Queue-ID: 7E48FC3C58, mail_id: SMvptt7ht9ll, Hits: -8.143, size: 10227, queued_as: 9F830C3C34, 5153 ms
----

I had configured amavis to pass bad header emails because it was blocking too many legitimate emails previously.  I suspect this has something to do with why no emails show up for this top sender.  All of this user's emails are attended by a maillog entry like the above.  How might this be repaired?

We want to disable admin email notification for all four classes of quarantine actions -- spam, viruses, bad headers and banned attachments.

In amavisd.conf, commenting out virus_admin_maps and spam_admin_maps will disable notifications for viruses and spam, respectively.

How to disable notifications for bad headers and banned attachments?

Note that we still want to quarantine these items -- we just do not want the admin to receive an email for every single action.

lock global admin login to specific ip list

Hi, I'd like to request a feature, or some pointers as to where code could/should be inserted:

In my use case, global admin typically logs in from only a few static IPs. (e.g., a bastion host)
I would like to see a mechanism that denies global admin login to iRedAdmin Pro unless the source IP matches one or more whitelisted IPs defined in settings.ini

I feel this would increase security.

I've recently updated PGSQL to v9.1.14 and currently I'm running amavisd-new v2.9.1;

When I tried releasing an email from quarantine, I received the following maillog error message and the operation failed (and apparently my email was lost from the DB as I then refreshed and checked the table contents after the release attempt):

Aug  4 12:52:56 mail amavis[16604]: (rel-SjATB8bB_-gB) release: no records with msgs.mail_id=SjATB8bB_-gB in a database, trying to read from a quar. anyway

When I looked in the database for a newly quarantined email (as a test), I see the quarantine ID set as:  XCcuPsb_SaPg

I seem to recall this used to be a random alpha-numeric number so this confuses me. What could have happened?

Thanks.
